Membership Requirements
You are hereby invited to become a member of our Krewe, a non profit organization that promotes the ideas and nuances of the Renaissance era through entertainment and education. As a noble resident of the realm you are entitled to participate in all functions promoted by the group including the Coronation Ball, Grand Festival & Tournament and a variety of other special events. Whether you are of Noble blood, Landed Gentry, or simply a merchant or peasant there is a role in this Krewe for you.


The organization of "The Mystic Krewe of the Kingdom of Lamuria" is a non-discriminatory, not for profit social organization that promotes a chivalrous lifestyle and appreciation for the Renaissance period.

General membership: Those wishing to become members of  "The Mystic Krewe of the Kingdom of Lamuria" are required to be over the age of sixteen years of age and those who have shown, by their deeds, that they are a person of noble ideas and commitment. They should have an understanding of what the Renaissance period was and maintain a life of chivalrous values.

Membership is open to all persons regardless of age ( with exception to junior members ) , race, religion, creed or sexual orientation. Membership requires participation in a variety of monthly and yearly events including, but not limited to, the Mardi Gras Coronation Ball, fund raisers, monthly meetings, educational workshops, seminars and other special events. Failure to maintain at least a proprietary attendance and participation in the group's activities may cause the revocation or suspension of membership privileges and or voting rights of the member, as deemed required by the majority of the Board of Directors.

Each member is required to maintain civility and good manners during all functions and those who cause a disruption to the group as a whole may have their membership revoked or suspended. Each member is responsible for maintaining their own period dress or costume as may be required for each function as decreed by the Board of Directors. New members will be given a probationary period of six months in which time they may bring their attire to specifications set forth for each event. Attire should be in good taste and obscene or overly suggestive costumes will not be allowed. The use of profanity and otherwise disruptive actions will also not be tolerated.

Junior Membership: Children, wards or those who are the dependents of general members may become Junior Members of the organization. Junior Members are required to be over the age of five and under the age of sixteen years. They should have a basic understanding of what the Renaissance period was and maintain a life of chivalrous values. New members will be given a probationary period of six months in which time they may bring their attire to specifications set forth for each event. Attire should be in good taste and obscene or overly suggestive costumes will not be allowed. The use of profanity and otherwise disruptive actions will also not be tolerated. Junior member will be held to the same level of conduct and responsibilities as that of the General Membership.

Honorary Membership: It is the discretion of the President and Board of Directors to appoint or elect Honorary Members. These individuals will have shown a strong support for the organization and thus have contributed to the growth and prosperity of the group as a whole. Honorary membership may be bestowed on individual or corporate sponsors or patrons by a majority approval of the Board of Directors, President, and general membership. This class of membership has no voting privileges.
